Many years ago, I saw a unique broadcast of the selection of winners in a prize draw in a random way in the most honest way.
It was a company that had a green logo (I wish it was Evernote, but I don't think so) and the entire winner selection page was green.
Was it recorded or live, I don't remember.
The essence of the mechanics was as follows. There was a list of prizes and a registration page for participants under their nicknames (unique). This page was publicly available on the Internet and anyone could go and test the mechanics of choosing a winner.
How it worked:
1) The hidden number of characters of the maximum length of the nickname is displayed (this means that anyone can become a winner)
2) The host presses the button, the first letter/number/symbol of the winner's name is selected.
3) The remainder of the hidden characters of the nickname is reduced according to nicknames starting, say, with "S".
4) Below, under the nickname, avatars and nicknames of all potential winners are displayed.
5) Repeat the procedure until the winner is determined.
It is very transparent, honest, exciting and spectacular. I searched with all my might all over the Internet, I was very sorry that I had not saved it in due time.
