Borisov "Young Radio Amateur"
Horowitz, Hill "The Art of Circuitry". The newer edition the better.
1) The level of physics - Do physics - the basics of the school is enough to start. Ohm's law, basic formulas for parallel / series connections, Kirchhoff's rules, semiconductors, pn junction
2) Level of detail - Understand how individual components work, why they are needed, typical and atypical use cases
3) Level of a circuit piece - Read and try to understand the description of circuits - why this or that element is in it, to understand how several elements work together, to understand typical nodes.
4) Level of Practice and Synthesis - Try to design/build your circuits based on experience. Collect or simulate, test options.
Read articles/Watch videos for beginners, incl. from the category "for dummies" - this is for a quick start, it is often explained there "on the fingers"
Take standards - for example , "Execution of electrical circuits according to ESKD" . Get acquainted. Everything is there.
As for understanding - take a course from studying solid state physics to the basics of designing microprocessor and analog devices. Gain experience in practice.
There are many resources. It is necessary to decide on the direction - electronics, electrics, .... And then combine theory with practice. And most importantly, do not forget - the excess will burn out :))!
