Set a fixed channel for Wi-Fi distribution. In the settings there is a choice (there are 13 of them or so). There are also settings: RTS / CTS Threshold (put 4096), another Fragmentation Threshold (4096).

You can listen to the broadcast on the subject - which channels are busy. As far as I remember, out of 12-13 WiFi channels, 4 work without collisions. Next, choose another freer channel.
I experienced fast discharge even on iPhone4. The problem turns out to be in incorrectly written programs that use push notifications. As an example - iDaPrikol, MobileRSS (not sure).
On 3G, at one time, the complete shutdown of Push with a reboot of the phone helped. on 4G it is enough to unload the program from the background.
