Question on the old UPS knowledgeable

Good afternoon. I read the article and got inspired.

I have such a UPS , which has been gathering dust in the pantry for 5-8 years. Recently I found it, connected it - it works just like a piece of wire (electricity is supplied only when it is connected, but it is worth turning it off from the socket - it immediately de-energizes the computer). The red indicator is constantly on (apparently, there is no charge)

Tell me, who understands this - is it possible to do something with it or is it cheaper to buy a new one?

You can try to simply change the battery. It is standard in it (the first one that came across in Google ), you will surely find it on the local radio market without any problems.
Since no other problems are visible, most likely, after a day on charge, the UPS will work like new.
Just spin it up and check the battery type.

You can make a good auto-inverter from an old UPS with a dead battery) The buzzer is turned off, a car battery is connected instead of a regular battery =)
