What kind of shield is shown at the bottom of the page , where an example of using a voltage divider is given (a divider and an lcd are connected to it)?
And why is it so easy to display lines on the LCD? Without any libraries?

This is an SPI/I2C adapter for the HD44780, soldered on the back of the board.
