Question about wifi and Asus EEE PC 1005PE

A question. I have Keenetic Lite in one room, my acer timeline 3820tg laptop catches the network quite well throughout the apartment, there are problems with the asus eee pc ... The network catches not very well, sometimes the closed door causes a drop in reception quality, otherwise the network disappears altogether. I can’t understand how it’s possible to either increase the coverage or improve the asus ... There is a second dlink di-624 router in the closet, but I can’t put it as a repeater, in terms of fantasy I thought to put a Wi-Fi module from Benq R55V which is lying around disassembled, it received the network well also on the whole apartment ...

Firewood seems to be the latest everywhere, openwrt unfortunately does not support any of the routers. I would be grateful for advice / links, directions in which to dig.

You can change the wi-fi card. On my Vostro 3450, I changed some kind of Broadcom to Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6230. The speed increased and instead of 2-3 networks, 8-10 appeared, and full coverage throughout the apartment (before that it was at the maximum distance from the router one or two divisions). Please check compatibility before purchasing.

See what the problem is. Even if you increase the signal strength in some way, or buy another router that will give a very good signal, your netbook may still not work. Yes, the signal will be 5 sticks, but it will not work. Why? Because the antenna in the netbook is weak - it picks up a strong signal, but its power is not enough to respond back through the walls of the apartment.
It remains to install either a repeater, or place an access point / router with wi-fi in the center of the apartment.
