I wanted to ask if it is possible to do this: buy a router with VPN support and Airport extreme, connect the router with VPN to the wire, and put Airport in another room so that it catches the signal and transmits further?
PS: ISP only supports VPN, Airport doesn't.

This can be done.
After turning on the AirPort Extreme, go to the Wireless section and select "Extend a wireless network" in Network mode, enter the details of the existing wireless network and save the settings.
I did it differently for myself - I connected the AP Extreme to the router with a wire, and turned off WiFi on the router completely. So that only "apple" WiFi works :)
