Protective film on macbook m1: is it worth sticking?

People who wrote that it needed to be glued argued that the screen on poppies is very scratched, there are traces of keys on the screen, no matter how carefully you use the laptop. And vice versa, people who advised not to stick on wrote that the color rendition deteriorates, even more glare appears and scratches still appear with the film (???). I don't understand how to do it in the end.
I use my laptop mainly at home, but I will sometimes take it with me. I plan to put it in a case, and then in a backpack.
They also seemed to say that a better option would be to buy some kind of cloth that can be put between the keyboard and the screen during storage and transportation, and everything will be super. What do you think?
