Protection of solid-state copies, in terms of control of printed information?

1) From the point of view of controlling documents printed on the printer, is it enough to save the file that was sent for printing, or is it necessary to save the already interpreted postscript code?
2) Is it possible to bypass the logging system for documents sent for printing?
3) What is more efficient in terms of resources spent to store copies of files or postscript code?
4) Is it possible to set such restrictions on printing, so that any file sent for printing must be converted to postscript code?

1. How are you going to prove the authenticity of the file? The contents of the postscript file, by the way, can also be changed.
2. If there is superuser access - easily.
3. PS will be "heavier" for any documents.
4. Possible (see at the very end)
