Proper installation of windows 10 on an external laptop ssd?

Greetings!
I have msi laptop without ssd. Tired of slow work - I ordered an ssd external drive and an optibey (an ssd chassis that is inserted instead of a dvd drive). Now the question is, after I connect the ssd instead of the dvd drive - what are the next steps to install windows 10 on ssd, delete from hdd, and so that it all works well. I read guides that were not quite suitable for me, I saw that I needed some more cables from sata. It's true? Didn't order cable. Ideally, I need my hdd to remain for files, and ssd to keep the system and software on it. Thank you!

You phrased the question incorrectly. "Instead of a DVD" your SSD will not be external to the computer, so do everything in the usual way - install the SSD, clone the system partition onto it, make it bootable (this has been described many times).
But if you really want to install W10 on an external drive (it doesn’t matter if it’s HDD or SSD), I’m afraid it won’t work, because to activate W10 you need to be tied to a specific computer hardware. So, by inserting this disk into another computer, with a different hardware, you will get an unactivated OS with all the consequences.
