Because so far (I hope so far) I'm alone, so I'm considering the following option for implementing my goal - I take CMS Joomla, use the logic of an online store (having attached the corresponding free template) and compare what I want with the actual one... Further, if the logic of the online store is appropriate in in my context, I’m looking for a more beautiful / functional / technically supported / adaptable ... template, I get it, I screw it on .. Next - the development of the project, perhaps - writing my own platform for hosting rental sites ..., perhaps - leaving for cloud services, perhaps - both ... I want to work with technologies, get acquainted with their capabilities. Tell me your options, means of implementation, stages of creating a project, any thoughts,

At the stage of a pilot project, Joomla can also come up, the main thing is that you can implement the functionality you need, bring your business idea to life. If the project works, then it will be possible to think about transferring the framework to php, which will be more productive than Joomla and will allow more flexible implementation of features.

2. Next, they make a landing page to test the market and get subscribers. This is not required, but desirable.
3. Make a simplified prototype of the application. I don't know the details of your project, but from what I've described, it's going to be a little stressful to redo from an online store. Especially if it is a module for Joomla. You can also take some store with a good engine that a competent programmer will be comfortable further processing (for example, OpenCart). But I would not use such an engine for these purposes and write on the framework.
As for the design. To get a good response, in any case, you will have to design it competently, ideally with a marketer and a designer. If not possible, read about the features and important things in design and usability. Maybe, of course, you are lucky, and the free template will come across just like it should, correct, modern and conveniently made, but it’s somehow hard to believe in it. One way or another, if you do a landing page first, you will have to invest a little less in the design, and there will already be some kind of embedding for the future style.
And most importantly - at the initial stage, give up more on the desire to try a bunch of technologies, think better about the social and financial side. Keep it simple, smaller, and more focused. When everything is twirled, it will already be possible to think about it.

Then you should think about what you can offer better, unlike a bunch of other similar services. if you still can't get enough, then prototyping, design and programming follows.
