Program for showing English-speaking TV online

Good, I used the program from livestation.com for a long time. It has a list of both paid (by subscription) and free channels.
The program itself is terrible, settings and authorization flies stably about once a month. And now all of a sudden there are only paid channels.

Are there "players out of the box" for watching English-speaking channels (I'm learning English)?
Mainly interested in news, such as the BBC, AOL ...

Watching through the browser is not convenient (for me), all I found is an outdated list of hundreds of channels, where most of them have either changed their address or broadcast from sites is not conducted

You can buy a VPN in the UK for a few dollars and use BBC iPlayer.
