Professional Development at DBA?

I would like to know the prospects for building a career in the field of DBA. Is it in demand? Or is it in demand only in big cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg? If I start entering this area with MySQL, then in the future it will be possible to switch to Oracle or MSSQL for example? And what should a professional DBA know? And what are the prospects for NoSQL?

Here is a particular example. We can't find Oracle DBA in a small Siberian city. They are simply not here. There are no people who want to go from other cities. The salary is very decent. I had to teach someone else.
In big cities, of course, both supply and demand are greater. Oracle DBA usually has a good salary.
My personal opinion: it's worth doing Oracle and postgres.

From Oracle to MySql/Mariadb is pretty easy, but vice versa is much more difficult. These are very different DBMS, it's like a bicycle (MySQL) and a mining truck (Oracle).
