Tell me, please, what is the best processor to put on socket 478. I already have Intel P4 2.26GHz, I'm thinking about replacing it.

The maximum is Gallatin - Pentium 4 EE (extreme edition) - This is a somewhat truncated server core, it worked up to 3.4 GHz at 478. The question is whether the motherboard supports.
The best option is to look at the compatibility of the motherboard and build from there.
And so, this is not even enough for a very simple web server :)
