Problems with the computer: it constantly freezes, overheating at the same time, it makes a terrible noise when it is restarted. What exactly could it be?

The noise stops though after some time (7-8 minutes, and maybe the whole hour buzz). It even hangs on YouTube videos, though not under all operating systems (only win, on Linux it plays normally for some reason). As I understand it, the matter is in the power supply, especially since it already had to be changed a couple of years ago and the main noise comes from it. But perhaps something else has fallen off? What do these symptoms look like? I think with the video card, too, not everything is ok.

You ask a question and you yourself answer it.
Put some program to monitor the temperature and keep track.
For example , openhardwaremonitor.org or any of the 14 Best Free CPU Temperature Monitor Software For ...
Also look at the coolers - do they spin at all (on the video card, CPU and power supply), clean them from dust (if you blow it - hold the blades with your hand so as not to spin), lubricate the cooler or buy and install another one.
Change thermal paste and continue monitoring.
You can also work by elimination - if the motherboard has a built-in GPU, then pull out a discrete video card and drive it on the built-in one.

You pull everything out, leaving only the very minimum for starting (mother + percent + memory + system screw), start it, if it heats up and crashes - try another PSU, if it still heats up and crashes - then the problem is in one of the cooling systems (perc or video card, if not built in). If not, add one component at a time and check.
