Problems with templates on CMS MODx, how to solve?

PS I work through GULP.
When I moved the layout to MODx, then ran through gulp, everything was fine ... but after I tried to edit the initial template, I just got a falling apart site.
At first I thought that the problem was in the CMS, but after that I turned off gulp and just went through OpenServer, where the template itself worked fine. I don't know how Gulp affects MODx, which is why I would like to hear opinions.

I'm still just new to Back-end and really hope that some guru will come and help. Thank you for your attention

Use of gulp is welcome.
True, it is not clear how he could break the admin panel, because this is just a plugin for gulp.
And the output is HTML, which is included in the templates as a static file.
It's hard to tell what exactly you're doing wrong. But try to include HTML files, and check that they are not accidentally written to the CMS system folders.
