Problems with templates on CMS MODx, how to solve?

PS I work through GULP.
When I moved the layout to MODx, then ran through gulp, everything was fine ... but after I tried to edit the initial template, I just got a falling apart site. 2c75dc3b77ab429e9ef88ff8770a4a48.png
At first I thought that the problem was in the CMS, but after that I turned off gulp and just went through OpenServer, where the template itself worked fine. I don't know how Gulp affects MODx, which is why I would like to hear opinions.

I'm still just new to Back-end and really hope that some guru will come and help. Thank you for your attention

@zooks

Use of gulp is welcome.
True, it is not clear how he could break the admin panel, because this is just a plugin for gulp.
And the output is HTML, which is included in the templates as a static file.
It's hard to tell what exactly you're doing wrong. But try to include HTML files, and check that they are not accidentally written to the CMS system folders.
