Problem installing Apache Cordova. What should I do?

Installed latest version of node.js and npm on ubuntu, but when installing cordova it pops up: npm WARN engine [email protected]: wanted: {"node":"0.8.x || 0.10.x"} (current: {"node ":"4.2.2","npm":"2.14.7"}).Te cordova wants an older version of nodejs and npm? Some kind of stupidity, help, I went through the whole stackover.
