Private projects on the free plan in Figma?

If I use the free plan in Figma, does this mean that absolutely anyone, somewhere, can see and take my project? I can't find any explanation.

There is a difference and it is obvious, I will dispel a few of your myths:
1. There is no single catalog of all projects, they cannot be found in Google or obtained in any other way.
2. You can't find any user and see their projects.\
But here are the disadvantages of the free plan:
1. You can't put a password on the project, and your link can be passed from hand to hand.
2. If you sent a link to the "prototype", the customer receives a link to the source.
3. You cannot control the number of users who can view your project with a link - everyone can go to it, and everyone can get a link to the source, and then copy it to themselves.
The paid version has full control over access to your sources, which is a big plus.
