PPPoE client from proxmox container
Good day!
I have a home server on proxmox, the provider can only give a second IP address through another pppoe session. I'm trying to raise pppoe from the container, in the logs I get:
Jun 8 14:40:44 cloud9 pppd[1407]: Couldn't open the /dev/ppp device: Operation not permitted
Jun 8 14:40:44 cloud9 pppd[1407]: Sorry - this system lacks PPP kernel support
Jun 8 14:40:44 cloud9 pppoe-connect: PPPoE connection lost; attempting re-connection.

and from this container the modem-server of provider is visible?
If to lift a local area network packets run on the interface?
Containers don't support a lot of things. In your case, it seems to me that it is easier to start a full-fledged VM instead of a container.
