Power off your video card?

ACTION=="add",KERNEL=="0000:01:00.0",SUBSYSTEM=="pci",RUN+="/bin/sh -c 'echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:01:00.0/remove'"
/etc/udev/rules.d/40-nvidiadrop.rules (END)

In theory, this rule in udev should disable the video permanently.
But the chip is still hot, and the cooler does not stop.
What to do? The video card is defective, I can’t take it out - the laptop is soldered on the board.

If there is no "use only integrated" option in the BIOS, then you can try to unsolder the power supply bridge of the video chip stabilizer. But it doesn't always help.

Is this a discrete question? Can you be a little more specific about which video card we are talking about. And yes, if you can version of Distra))
