Posting images to Facebook from a website via the FB API?

There is such a task: it is necessary that by clicking on the link, a picture with text is published on the user's wall in FB.
Solution 1: Post via facebook.com/sharer.php. But this solution is not very cool, because. the picture is small. In fact, we only publish a link accompanied by a picture.
It seems to me that there should be some more flexible solution using the FB API. Is there such a thing?
