I remember once using a site that made it possible to leave only the necessary (specified) characters in the font. There it was necessary to enter them in the input. I wrote the Russian and English alphabets there in lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and punctuation marks. And it was possible to download the font edited in this way on this site. And the font became much lighter.
