PHPstorm - is it convenient for layout and for working with js?
Tell me, there is an opportunity to get it for free, but I don’t write much in php. Is it convenient for layout and js?

I use PHPstorm for layout and work not only with JS but PHP (in fact it is Webstorm + PHP). There are a lot of features that make development easier - working with servers and databases, node.js support, auto-substitution and code generation, support for linters, preprocessors, emmet, working with git, etc. - you can’t figure it out at all))). If they give it for free - take it without hesitation, and php support can come in handy
There is no alternative to PHPstorm. But for the frontend, VS code is better.
And what exactly do commercial products like? This is an IDE for PHP, everything else is for convenience.
Right now, with different extensions for Regular code editors, it’s already difficult to talk about what is an IDE and what is a code editor.
Of course, some people like cacti, and some strictly violets ...
