Recently, I noticed an unpleasant behavior in the code when php is recognized as plain text

. In this case, the beginning and end of the script <??> are also highlighted as plain text. And this behavior is only inside the html tag.
I can not understand what it is, a mistake or somewhere the setting is worth it.
