Photoshop CS3 and InDesing CS6 license compatibility

Friends from the printing house complained about problems with licenses for InDesing CS6.
Like re-activated or using support.
Then the situation repeated itself.
I went the other day, I saw on the machine (win xp) installed Photoshop CS3 and InDesing CS6 (EU-licensed). In appearance, everything is fine, active, working.
There is nothing "left" from the software.
Be afraid of a repetition of situations with a rally of a license.
Is there a conflict of activation algorithms or the like?
