Pentesting Certification?

I decided to get skills and certification in pentest. Previously, I took a course at pentestit.ru (I advise). I came across courses from eLearnSecurity. In terms of price, it doesn't look that expensive. Has anyone taken this course? Do you advise? In terms of price-skills ratio. And which course to start with?

Certification is mainly aimed at pumping customers' money into the pockets of vendors, getting a piece of paper by an engineer is just an excuse, a by-product. Therefore, certification is expensive, prices for levels above the initial ones seem to hint that it is not the examinee who pays for it. It's like business class on an airplane.
As for certifications in the field of information security, they look more like some kind of sect, a closed club, not in the best sense of the word. Big guys measure papers at the expense of the employer, rotate in a narrow circle, endorse each other ... well, you understand.
The presence of a certificate can characterize a beginner in two ways: on the one hand, it is clear that a person is striving. On the other hand, it is possible that he is simply trying to buy for money what can (and is necessary, otherwise what's the point) to get by hard work.
