Paid or Free CMS?

The question arose: why use paid CMS solutions if there are free ones? Explain the meaning. For example, let's take online stores, why pay for Shopify from $ 30 / month (this is the most minimal tariff, empty), if you can use Prestashop and Opencart with all the built-in features? Here are the only advantages that I see in commerce, and objections immediately arise:

1. Technical support
Yes, this is a plus in commercial ones, but there are also forums in free ones where you can ask a question and get an answer (sometimes even faster).

2. Provide hosting services
Yes, but it is much cheaper to order just hosting.

3.Installation/configuration
For noobs, many hosting providers can install any popular free CMS with one click.

Also, not only that, commercial ones also take a commission from each payment in addition to the paid tariff, and in many respects limit the starting tariffs.

if the store brings in tens of thousands, then it costs 0, or, 100, or 200 - does not play any piano.
it's simple someone prefers to pay and get a ready-made service, someone doesn't pay and messes with the designer.
there is no unambiguously correct answer, both options work. The choice depends only on personal Wishlist and opportunities / skills.
you assume that this is easy for you, and it really can be so. but only for you.
in business there is such a thing as TCO, and programmers, as people who are very far from business, often do not take it into account.

Most often, in free versions ( yes, there are exceptions! ) there are no features such as discount coupons, you cannot undermine digital goods, you cannot remove the logo of the creator of the service from the bottom of the site, etc.

if you can use Prestashop and Opencart with all the built-in features?

And the admin programmer is free, or what?
Plus hosting.
Even the most low-skilled programmer-admin (and such, by the way, there is no professional belief) will already cost more.

@Terras

You are a programmer - you can set up a free engine and do whatever you want in it.
Business owner - business man.
He cannot set up a free engine, so he has a choice:
- pay for the programmer's time
- pay for a paid engine with drag and drop settings
Often a paid plan is more profitable.
Ps plus keep in mind that although your time is "free", in fact it is not free at all.
