Overlaying high-resolution photos on Yandex.maps or Google maps - is it possible?

Actually, is it possible to overlay high-resolution photos on Yandex.maps or Google maps? Those. the maximum approximation from the original source, and then the overlay and scaling of the outer layer-photo with a higher resolution should occur.
