Out of range on second monitor?

I found an old VA902 monitor and decided to connect it to the main laptop, but instead of displaying the image on the 2nd monitor, it says out of range and the screen of the first monitor goes blank (here I seem to have messed up, now xs how to fix it).
It enters the BIOS without problems on the 2nd monitor, and when the OS is loaded, it is already out of range.
A few questions:
1) If I connect the cord - then the image immediately goes to the 2nd monitor, and the first one goes out - how to leave the image on the 1st monitor? Accordingly, without a cord, you can’t enter the settings, but with a cord there is no screen (
2) How to fix Out of range and reach 2 screens?
On the laptop 1920x1080, on the monitor 1280x1024

I tried to change the resolution on 1 monitor to 800x600 and connect the second one - the problem remains

@Stalker31

1) First, with 1 monitor turned on, set the screen mirroring mode in the screen settings
