OpenWRT - Weak WiFi Signal

There is an Asus WL-600g router with OpenWRT firmware. I ran into a problem:

On the factory firmware, access to the network even from a neighboring apartment was acceptable, the signal quality according to the readings of any programs was at the level of 98% in the "line of sight" zone, and from 60% through 2 walls. Now, even when the netbook is standing directly next to the router, the quality does not rise above 70%, and the network is practically not “visible” through the wall (-85 - -78dB). What settings can you dig? WiFi channels changed, b / g / n and encryption methods also tried different ones. I achieved 60% in the line of sight (2 meters to the router), but still it's not the same 80% as before.

somewhere, in the advanced wi-fi settings, there is an item responsible for the transmitter power, try changing the value there.

add native firmware. if the situation does not change, then the problem is in the hardware (output stage).
