I will supplement PrAw a little .

  1. There is not always something "shitty" in autorun. Very often, users have programs like mediaget and others like them. There are built-in advertisers. There are a lot of such software (although what the hell is software - the language does not dare to call it that, in fact, an advertising platform). These programs can both display ads directly on the desktop, embed them in site pages, install additional extensions in browsers, modify start pages, modify browser shortcuts, and simply open a new tab with every N-th click in the browser with a "suggestion to increase some something a couple of tens of centimeters.
  2. The checkboxes are not "unchecked" when installing the next software.
  3. The browser has add-ons that allow you to display ads.
  4. Notifications are allowed in the browser. With regards to chrome, you should immediately turn off the following options in the settings:
Settings - Advanced - Content settings
    - Geodata - blocked
    - Camera - blocked
    - Microphone - blocked
    - Notifications (that's where the worst thing is) - blocked
    - Background synchronization - do not allow
    - Plus to this blockers, such as Adblock Plus, AdBlock, etc., a lot of them
  5. I would also set up deleting cookies when the browser is closed, but everything is purely individual here. You will have to log in to sites every time you restart your browser. And this drag is inconvenient.
