Online store without a shopping cart - pros and cons?

I'm curious to know what people think about this?
How about an online store without a shopping cart. Imagine a wholesale or small wholesale store (in short, checks are quite large).
Now imagine how convenient it is to click on each product and select the quantity you need?
It happens that you need to select 50 positions.
We use this method in the company, people download the price list svarkavita.com/price.xls and put the quantity in front of the desired product and send it to us by e-mail.
I am silent about people who are simply more convenient to call (they are the majority)
What other options are there for such a specific business (when 6 (and sometimes more) prices, the average number of positions, mainly wholesale buyers (80%)

do not consider the task in the context of "How does everyone do it?"
You have three use cases - implement them, if there is a share of clients with a significant income, then make an interface for them.
It would be ideal to talk to each major customer and ask how they can simplify the order

Everything is the same as with Excel or by phone, only on the site. Dudes add articles to the cart, set the quantity of each in the cart and order.

shopping cart is easier. simply entered the quantity and added to the cart and / or in the cart the display of the quantity.
It will be much easier with this, on the Internet, even free options for your request will be immeasurable

How do such suppliers get me (sometimes I have to deal with them). Normal offices make b2b portals, but here everything is in xls.
