Is it necessary to place a TM image instead of a logo?

They registered a wretched logo without consulting with the designer, on the new site it looks like "don't sew a mare's tail." Is it necessary to place a TM image instead of the logo?

TM here I mean not Thematic Media, but Trade Mark.
TM put next to your logo or name if you claim your rights to this brand and plan to register it as a full-fledged tm. If you don't care, then don't bet. But better with it than without it.
