One hard drive for two devices?

The following question arose: Is it possible to connect one external hard drive (it has USB, eSATA, Fireware) simultaneously to two devices (media center, laptop), respectively, with different interfaces, let's say USB to the media center, Fireware to a laptop?

No, moreover, you can kill the USB / Fireware - SATA controller board due to the fact that there will be no galvanic isolation between devices.

Connect all devices to a regular gigabit network and don't worry.

Connect the disk to the media center and share it. After, connect to the media center and use it to your health.
