How to find out the password set by gnome-disk (formerly palimpsest) when doing Secure Erase?

The regular disk utility, from ubuntu \ mint (which has the name Disks in the information, udisks in mana, called by the gnome-disk command, was known as palimpsest in girlhood) has the Secure Erase disk cleaning function. When I performed this action - turned off the light.
As a result, the disk (green barracuda ST1500DL003-9VT16L) is blocked. Calling Secure Erase again complains about the inability to set a password and aborts without saving any log. How it is possible to see a command transferred at this moment?
Can you please tell me how to do one of the options below:
a) make gnome-disk log its actions in detail.
b) listen for all ata commands of the target screw.
c) find out how the password is generated from the source code, given my far from programming.
d) force gnome-disk to skip the password setting step and send the command directly to clear it in case the password is permanent.
 ps
I will not mind if someone shares secret knowledge about the master password, the existence of which I doubt.
I know about the reset option using the service port. As a noob, I would like to know the exact addresses for this model.
upd The
issue of restoring access is resolved, the topic is closed due to loss of interest

Well, you can still remove the password using the PAK, for example PC3000. This seems like a more realistic option, and faster.
