Is RAM suitable for a server?

Hi all!
I apologize for the question, but I would not want everything to go wrong with me.
I plan to buy a server in Russia, and buy RAM in America.
Actually the question is, is the RAM suitable for the server?
Logically, it should fit, but still I would not want problems.
