On what matrix to take a monitor for programming?

I mainly do programming. I rarely do anything in Photoshop. I also rarely play. I watch films more often, but this is not so important. Looked after Dell UltraSharp U2312HM . It is on an e-IPS matrix. I have no idea how the text is read and programmed on it. I would like my eyes to be as tired as possible.

I'm waiting for advice.

I would recommend *VA matrix.
Deep blacks, brightness can be adjusted at a fairly low level (although this depends more on the monitor itself).

I am writing to you with Dell UltraSharp U2312HM =). I can’t compare with the VA matrix, because did not use.
When working with text, subjectively, my eyes do not get tired of it. In principle, they did not get tired on normal TN either. But when laying out, TN and IPS are just heaven and earth. On IPS, I can see even the smallest shadows, gradients, stripes, which on TN were just a solid color and had to be cut out by touch.
In general, I plan to take this monitor in addition market.yandex.ru/model.xml?modelid=7699008&hid=91052 .

ips, h-ips is better. Dell is good, but I would look at the 24xx series with a resolution of 1920 * 1200, DLC works much better than fullhd

There was a Samsung F2080 on C-PVA (matte), changed to Dell U2311H (IPS, also matte), Dell likes it much more. I don’t understand the details (“deep black”, “crystal effect”, “delay”), but I’m much more pleased with Dell compared to Samsung on C-PVA - heaven and earth, the picture is better, my eyes get tired less. The main occupation is programming.

Dell on IPS has a rather pronounced crystalline effect, which may well affect the comfortable work behind such a monitor. (Personally, I can’t look at such a screen for a long time, I checked it).
Therefore, I also advise you to take a closer look at monitors with * VA matrix.

What polo to buy for programming? I looked after Ralph Lauren, but they say php is better in Lacoste.

16:10 is better, as they advise here, but IPS is what you need for comfortable long-term work.
Now I have the opportunity to compare it with TN (I temporarily work in another place) and it is much worse - by the end of the day, the eyes are red and the general condition is worse. Although I did not see the difference in the store when I took Dell home.

If there is money for IPS, then definitely any IPS. You will not regret.

Take any on TN, seriously. Invest the money you save in a chair. For programming, this is more important.

at VA. I bought a BenQ EW2430 half a year ago - super, now I'm buying the second one of the same.
Favorably differs from other monitors with a semi-matte screen.

I've been using a 22-inch Dell on eIPS at home for several years now. The matrix for my taste and for my tasks is just excellent, I like VA less. I can’t sit at TN monitors for a long time - my eyes get tired quickly (when I was sitting in the office at work, I basically refused TN and stayed on a large Sony CRT)

I use Iiyama XB2374HDS (23", 1920 * 1080). IPS matrix, matte finish, a huge advantage is an adjustable “leg”: in height and tilt, + you can rotate the monitor vertically (any position from 0 to 90 degrees). I took it in April for ~ 9500r (for Ukraine )
Many complain about the crystalline effect, but if you do not pay attention to this, there are no problems. The text is read well, the contrast is high.
Of the minuses for night programmers is a very bright backlight. If you work at night (or even in the evening) , you will have to look for a theme with a dark background for the text editor, otherwise it hits the eyes.Alternatively, reduce the contrast in addition to brightness.

market.yandex.ru/model.xml?modelid=6434080&hid=91052 - I have one, Benq bl2400 - just on a VA matrix. I like. there are fun features like automatic brightness control (I don’t use it) and a reminder every few minutes that my eyes need to rest)

I use LG IPS236V - 23 "- cost me about 5000 rubles, IPS matrix, LED, perfect in work.

If cheaper, then as a variant of the Benq BL2400, just for work.
And if for the soul and for yourself - then Dell U2412M. This is worth it at home - he is extremely happy: for photos, for movies, and for reading / coding.

IPS>PVA(MVA)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>TNF
NEC EA232WMi (231 on ccfl is also ok).

It seems to me that for office work it is more important not what kind of matrix it has, but how conveniently it is adjusted for your fit.

I use 2 x DELL 2212HM, S-IPS matrix, I am very satisfied, there is more than enough working space for work, the brightness is minimal, my eyes do not seem to get tired.

I spend a lot of time behind the monitor, there are no complaints. Puff puff puff...

in addition to viewing angles, eyes can get tired of flickering) most monitors with led backlighting do not reduce power when the brightness is lowered, but turn on at intervals, some people are sensitive to this, some are not - better check it yourself in the store or with friends.
may not be pleased with the presence of flare (white stripes along the edges of the monitor, these are the backlights in some instances of monitors are poorly hidden) crystal effect (large gaps between pixels, clearly visible when a light video is playing), often noticeable on ips matrices, NEC and apple; and uneven backlighting at the edges in normal lighting (in complete darkness or in dark video episodes, it will be on almost all monitors)
the clarity over a digital cable is usually equally good for monitors more expensive than 5-6k, but you can’t appreciate it in a store, because there they are hooked through a vga splitter to one system unit, most often))
all these factors are subjective, I used to spit on crist. effect when I saw it in the store, then when I saw a comparison of the macro photo of the screen of my laptop and some ips monitors that I watched live, I calmed down a bit)) plus I saw it with friends who are demanding on nec colors, whose edges were clearly darker than the center, even in normal lighting and gray background - they didn’t notice)
now I’m working on a 20-inch tube MVA ViewSonic, my eyes don’t get tired, I don’t observe CE) I’m thinking of buying NEC e-ips, some have a good feature - switching between two system units can come in handy)
ps the question about the aspect ratio is also very subjective, 1920*1200 vs. 1920*1080 - it’s clear which is better if you forget about the price, but 1600*1200 vs. No)
