Do you do eye exercises?

The question is not quite on the topic, but quite relevant.
When working at a computer for a long time, eye fatigue occurs.
Do you do gymnastics? Are there any effective methods?

Who cares,
If you work in good lighting, with good monitors, your eyes get tired less often.
But all the same, once an hour I go out to drink tea, look out the window, get distracted.
If I work in the Pomodoro system, then every 25 minutes.

One of the main problems is the constant focal length - when you stare at the monitor for hours, this causes degradation not only of the muscles, but also of all related mechanisms. Therefore, it is recommended to change it artificially, looking out the window for a couple of minutes every couple of hours, looking from distant objects to the glass. A good addition would be playing sports, like tennis or volleyball - when the ball flies back and forth.

Well, firstly, you need to create comfortable working conditions:
1) there should be normal lighting in the room, not into the monitor, not into the eyes, and it should be there in general, so that there is no black space behind the monitor, the brightness of the monitor should not be too high or low, it is done so - take a pack (so that it doesn’t shine through) a4 display rgb (166,166,166) on it and adjust the brightness and contrast so that it looks the same (+/- small differences in color), all this is done so that when looking from the monitor somewhere to the eye I didn’t have to spend additional efforts on accommodation (the pupil gets tired from the fact that it constantly narrows or expands - it is also a muscle)
2) the monitor should be at such a distance that a relaxed look can clearly see its contents, if this is not possible, a larger monitor is needed (it also takes effort to compress the lens - there is also a muscle there, and the lens "dubs" over the years, I think it will not be very pleasant if it "zadubet" in a compressed state)
And exercises for the eyes can be like this - look at extreme positions near to the distance, squint when your leg is numb, you knead it than your eyes are worse.

No. I drink vitamins. Complivit ophthalmo. And I try to be distracted from time to time - well, there I went for a walk around the office, treated the secretary with candy ...

Nonsense all this. But dry eye syndrome really exists. Drops and a moisturizer to help.

The most important thing is to blink more often (here it is important to develop a habit), the rest depends little on gymnastics, because few people bother with gymnastics for more than a week.

I do exercises before bed. Usually I do not forget, because the eyes themselves remind.
I do circular motions clockwise and counterclockwise. Then semicircular movements clockwise and counterclockwise from above, then from below. Then simple movements from top to bottom and from bottom to top, left to right and right to left.
I don't know if you can do it in the dark, but another very effective exercise that I do at the end is the change of focus. Very good for relieving eye fatigue. You can do it under lighting, you can do it at any time of the day and several times a day. You just take two focus points at a great distance from each other (this can also be done mentally, then you can combine it with exercises before going to bed) and slowly switch between them, looking first at the near, then at the far point.
You can spend about a minute on each exercise.

Maybe it's bad, but I don't do gymnastics. There is simply no such need. There is a small lamp behind the monitors, which creates a yellow background and the monitors do not hurt the eyes. There is not much brightness on the monitors (no more than 50%). Periodically (once an hour) you are distracted by tea\toilet\fresh air, etc.
Do I work a lot in the dark? I highly recommend f.lux . Good thing.

Maybe not in the topic, but regarding eye fatigue, I want to share my experience.
I bought myself glasses from Gunnars, they really help, my eyes get tired less.
Gunnars
And in general, of course, at least once an hour you need to move away from the monitor for at least 5 minutes, for example, bring yourself coffee or tea.

For almost 2 years I have been fanatically doing this gymnastics, but it did not help me with my -6 in both eyes. Generally. Here only the operation will solve something. Gymnastics is useful for temporary spasms of accommodation, when myopia is just beginning to appear - for example, when vision is good, but there is a slight temporary deterioration after visual exertion. If visual loads are regular, then this deterioration can become permanent and develop into a high degree of myopia. To prevent this from happening, it’s worth doing gymnastics for the eyes - massage, “palming”, looking at distant objects, etc.
But in advanced cases, when the glasses are from primary school, such gymnastics is absolutely useless.

The most effective methods for the treatment of spasm of accommodation (amblyopia, false myopia) include the use of special. equipment www.trima.ru/medicine/kaskad.htm , special eye drops (which are prescribed for the duration of treatment), and computer programs https://www.microsoft.com/ru-ru/store/apps/flaby-e.. It
is advisable to go in for sports (gym, running, any kind of physical sport so that a couple of times a week to spend 1-2 hours playing sports)
In general, drops for dry eyes are useful for the eyes (oftagel, vidisik and other products with carbomer), fruits , healthy sleep, good mood.

Necessarily. I've been trying since morning.
The static tension of the eye muscles (as well as any), which arises from looking at one point, is not useful at all, it should be removed. Before I began to regularly do a warm-up for the eyes, my head hurt very often, but now it’s normal.
