Old laptop for programming?

I will be brief. There is an old laptop, IBM ThinkPad x31, Intel Pentium M processor, 256 MB RAM, Windows XP operating system. Unfortunately, for the next few months this will be my only device :( I want to devote all this time to programming, I need something light, fast for this hardware, well, or not very light and fast, but working!!! Language is not important. What advise?
