Number of possible hosts (not addresses) for /32 and /31 subnets?
What about Broadcast? Network address?
Answer the question
In order to leave comments, you need to log in
/32 = 1 host (1 address).
/31 = 2 hosts (2 addresses).
/32 is used only in routing (route to one host) and for all sorts of perversion lovers.
/31 is only used in point-to-point connections (eg VPNs). These are just 2 hosts that can only communicate with each other (one of them, however, can be a gateway to other networks).
