RRAS automatic interface switching?
Good day.
Task: changing the metric when one of the Internet lines goes down.
Available: Server 2012 with RRAS configured, it has 3 interfaces >>>
1-LAN (internal company network)
2-WAN Internet 1 (main Internet channel)
3-WAN2 Internet 2 (backup Internet channel)
So it turns out that for changing the Internet channel, I have to manually change the metric on static routes. I would like to automate this process by writing a script (in which I am not very selenium), well, or a ready-made solution.
The logic, as I understand it, should be this: once every 30 seconds, a script is launched that pings the gateway of my main Internet (Internet 1), if the ping fails, then the script should change the metric on the static route. Of course, everything would have returned back after raising the main communication channel.
