Not running as administrator?
Hello, freshly toasted toast!
I have Win 8.1. Recently I wrote a batch script, ran it for a test, tried to disable UAC. After that, the script killed explorer.exe and started again. And it started buggy, there is a Win button in the taskbar below, but it does not work, there are no other buttons. Alt+Tab works, but the interface is like when there is no explorer. I had to restart through taskmgr, barely succeeded.
Everything seemed to work. But a day later (that is, today), neither the "Run as administrator" item, nor anything else works. The window just doesn't open. And okay, it just wouldn’t work, I would change EnableLUA in the registry, but I can’t, because I’m not an admin.
How to return everything? Do not offer system restore - there is no point. Help SOS!
PS Yes, and one more thing: I read[Solved] UAC issue (Win7 x64), "run as administrator" stopped working , but only [SOLVED] is written there, I did not find a suitable answer.
UPD I was offered to change it through the admin in regedit (I just have complexes with respect to entering the admin not through UAC, I myself am a regular user). Does not work - I could change it, but there is no effect.

I didn’t quite understand that your name doesn’t start, but in the console there is such a thing as runas.
You can also try shift+ctrl+click on the icon on the taskbar. Those. run cmd, for example, and then shift+ctrl+click on the icon. Should issue a UAC prompt to run as admin.
UPD: there is also a checkmark in the shortcuts - run as administrator.
