Non-high-load chat using Mercure technology?

Made a small prototype of a chat using Mercure technology.
An interesting thing.

But it's kind of dark.

We need a non-standard chat.
The scheme is similar to the support chat for websites, but which works in parallel with the bot.

Well, that is, the bot first communicates offline, and on demand switches to live-chat mode .

I have implemented the following scheme.
When the bot is in live-chat mode, all messages are saved to the server via the API. When a message has arrived at the controller, the Mercure
publishing mechanism is launched there, which informs all actively connected clients and signals that it is time to pull new messages. Almost realtime.

What do you think about this, is it worth using Mercure?
And can who used, what sensations?

I must say right away that there is little information and guides about Mercure on the Internet.

Here is a link to the offs https://mercure.rocks/docs/mercure

Thank you.

@xmoonlight

it is a thin layer on top of HTTP
and that says it all
No lib! Immediately binary . :))
I would do it the old fashioned way: more opportunities for further expansion of functionality and completely controlled code.
