Nokia N900 - software?

Please advise good software and maps to make a GPS navigator out of Nokia N900 for a while.
I am mainly interested in the concrete road around Moscow, and the Leningradskoe highway - from Moscow to St. Petersburg, and there to Strelna.
We rarely travel, so we don’t really need a “real” GPS navigator ... but now we have to go, we decided to try the phone as a navigator.
It is not even navigation as such that is important, but the designation on the map of any “traffic obstacles” such as cameras, road narrowings, repairs, and settlements.

Standard navigation from nokia? It is dull, the cards must be loaded into the phone in advance with a special software.
If there are traffic jams, then there are Yandex.Maps, although in the alpha version, they are buggy. If you just need good maps, then any with OSM or Google support, I use Mappero, it's a good thing, I like it.
