Noise in headphones, how to fix?
This morning I noticed a strange noise in the headphones when playing any sound, despite the fact that last night everything was fine, and no actions were taken with the computer or headphones. The headphones themselves work fine, I checked with the phone.
I tried updating the audio card drivers, it didn’t really help, Windows also doesn’t find any problems, there is no problem in the connector either.
To be honest, I have no idea what to do. The noise itself resembles something like a bass boost (bass boost is disabled in the advanced settings, I also checked it).

The reasons can be of a different nature, for example, the volume on the PC is increased "all the way" and on the headphones (on the regulator) it is reduced. There was a "background" interference that comes out only during the activity of the sound system (a kind of corktron from a neighbor). Someone turned on "listening from the microphone." Bad contact in the connector. Sound path overload (not treated by drivers, reboot and even shutdown).
First, turn down the volume on the PC (in the mixer), disconnect all new wires / extension cords / devices from the computer, plug the headphones into another output (as a rule, everything is reconfigured). If it doesn't help, try to reset the "hardware failure" by completely discharging the circuits, the scheme is as follows:
1) Turn off and turn off the power to the PC (unplugging it from the outlet, just turning it off is not enough).
2) Press and release the ON button (yes yes yes without powering on), wait a minute.
3) Apply power, and turn on the computer as usual.
