No sound through HDMI port on motherboard?
Good day to all.
People, help me understand the issue, I have already rummaged through the entire Google.com, but I have not found the answer.
There is an msi h410m pro motherboard , it has an HDMI port, when connected via an HDMI cable to the TV, there is only an image, but there is no sound (that is, the HDMI port on the motherboard is connected to the TV), when connected with a cable, Windows does not even determine what kind of the audio cable is connected.
In the "Sound" menu in the "Playback" section, there is no way to select audio output devices. And the speaker icon in the lower right corner is crossed out with a red cross.
Immediately for connoisseurs: drivers installed / reinstalled; the sound on the TV to the maximum; the HDMI cable is checked, on the set-top box, there is sound and picture; the port on the telly is also checked.
What can be wrong? Could it be that the port on the mother does not support sound transmission, but only transmits an image? Who knows, subscribe
