New domain or with history?

I want to try to start the project.
What criteria is better to pay attention to for domains with a history? (time of continuous existence, last mention in search, etc.)

The main question is: is it worth using domains that have been active for only one year and the last use was at least a few years ago? (same topic) Or, in my case, is it better to register a new one?

PS I also looked at other domains, with a better and more active history, but the names are so crooked that I don’t want to get hung up on them...

A domain with a history (drop domain) is good for faster SEO promotion, but under conditions if it has:

  1. nice name and contains the keyword
  2. similar topics to the one you plan to develop
  3. the presence of thematic and not very links from high-quality acceptors

However, you should not take a dropdomain if it has:
  1. bad link profile;
  2. previously or currently sanctioned by search engines
  3. the price is unreasonably expensive

When using dropdomains, you should remember that even a thorough check does not guarantee a 100% positive result.
And, as a result, there may be problems in promotion, for example, in poor indexing.
