New battery or new UPS?
There is a simple UPS FSP DP 450, which is generally normal, the battery died somewhere in a year. I'm considering two options:
1. buy a good battery CSB HRL 1234W F2FR (12V, 9Ah) (I still don't know if it will fit or not);
2. buy a new UPS on almost the same battery (a little worse, as I understand it) Ippon Back Basic 850.
The main task is durability, i.e. it is necessary that the UPS works and does not require attention for as long as possible. The computer consumes about 100W, at the moment of switching on up to 170W, i.e. The power of the old one is enough and there have never been any problems with this.
Ippon is interesting for:
- high power, although is it needed?
- the ability to connect to a computer and configure. Here, again, it is not clear what can be configured there and do I really need it, if everything is configured optimally from the factory, the possibility of putting the computer into sleep mode is interesting, but I still don’t understand whether it can be implemented or not?
- Well, a good, sort of like, battery.
The first option is preferable for the money saved and a high-quality battery, which is better than ippon's. There is hope that the battery will last at least 3-5 years, from the declared 8. Again, it’s not a fact that it affects it, maybe a cheap coronary artery disease will kill it again in a year. And I'm also confused by the idle consumption of 8W / h - which is decent enough, how is Ippon doing with this?
How to do it right?
