Network Bridge Ubuntu and Windows XP?

At the moment, a twisted-pair network is configured over a bridge connection.
ADSL modem → PC (Windows 7) → Notebook (Windows XP).
I plan to completely abandon Windows on my PC and install Ubuntu, how to set up the same thing there?

pppoe to connect through NetworkManager is not a problem. Works out of the box.
For nat, install firestarter - gui to iptables. Nat through it is configured with two clicks.
