Mycode.rb + LGPL gem =?
There is a script using gem under LGPL. Is it possible to release "mycode.rb" under a different license?
The closest question was here , but the topic of using interpreters is not fully disclosed there.
As far as I know, using even a GPL product through standard interfaces (passing commands as strings, using pipes, etc.) allows you to protect yourself from a GPL virus.
Is the interpreter such a standard interface in this context? Scripts are fed to the interpreter as text.
PS : the main question on the link "mycode.rb" + "LGPL gem"; additional about the ability to connect to closed GPL scripts; all in the context of "standard interfaces for interacting with a GPL module".
